Our Pricing

Our Approach to Pricing

We begin all engagements by learning about our client’s needs, then agreeing on a scope of services, fees, and engagement terms.

FIXED PRICE

For recurring CFO, tax, and accounting services we set a fixed price, paid electronically, on set dates. Treat us like a member of your team.

HOURLY

For non-recurring, or out-of-scope special projects, we bill for hours incurred. Scope of services, estimated hours, rates, and fee estimates are agreed in advance and documented in an engagement letter.

SUCCESS-FEE

Occasionally we identify opportunities that appear to have potential for cash or monetary benefit to the client. If we and the client agree to pursue the opportunity we may do so on a contingent, or success-fee basis. In these circumstances, the benefit, if and when received, is split on previously agreed terms.

Business and Financial Coaching

For small companies on a budget, business and financial coaching is increasingly popular.

These are usually situations where an owner-manager is trying to start or turnaround a business, has lots of questions and knows help is needed but does not have the budget for a fractional CFO, controller, or accountant. Frequently the entrepreneur is trying to do as much as he / she can – usually alone. This business leader is completely competent but overloaded trying to do it all.

Effective Coaching

To get maximum coaching benefit, we build strong relationships with the principal(s). We must understand the business as a whole, including its people, financial condition, challenges and issues. Trust and time are both essential.

How it Works

We begin by listening to understand your needs. We also consider which member of our team is best suited to work with you - usually, one of our experienced principals. Thereafter, we hold regular video calls or in-person meetings.

During these meetings we find out what questions or concerns are on your mind. We discuss issues and opportunities, explain technical matters (if necessary), consider options and alternatives, and help you make plans.

Coaching Parameters

As a coach we do not take responsibility for management decisions or accounting & tax work product. We discuss your questions, then discuss matters based on the information made available to us.
